Texas A&M AgriLife Watershed Steward Workshop

NTMWD, in partnership with Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service and Texas State Soil & Water Conservation Board, hosted an educational workshop. This free program was open to the public and focused on how residents can get involved in local watershed protection and management activities.

Topics discussed included the Lavon Lake watershed, highlighting ongoing efforts and best management practices to improve and protect water quality. Representatives from Member Cities and Customers, Collin County, Collin County  Soil and Water Conservation District, and other stakeholders from the region were in attendance.

Stream Trailer Demonstration

You may have seen the stream trailer in action or may have been curious about what the stream trailer is all about. The stream trailer is a self-contained, hands-on rolling classroom that demonstrates stream hydrology and how it is impacted by different land uses.

NTMWD makes the stream trailer available and free of charge to Member Cities and Customers organizations in support of their outreach and educational goals. Reach out to our Public Education team to learn more.
