NTMWD and Texas A&M AgriLife Partner to Host Virtual Lunch and Learn Series

June 24, 2022

The North Texas Municipal Water District (NTMWD) supports education and outreach for all ages to develop and support well‐informed environmental partners to protect our most precious resource: water. As part of our commitment, we provide interactive learning experiences through partnerships with local organizations as well as directly to those we serve.

In June, NTMWD  and Texas A&M AgriLife began hosting a virtual lunch and learn series on lawn care and irrigation. These classes are free and taught by subject matter experts who will explain how to program & repair sprinkler systems, care for lawns during the Texas summer and even how to convert standard sprinkler systems to drip irrigation. Our instructors include Brad Voss, County Extension Agent for Horticulture with Texas A&M AgriLife Extension in Collin County, Dean Minchillo, an Extension Program Specialist II with the Urban WISH team, and Dr. Becky Bowling, Assistant Professor and Extension Specialist for Urban Water with Texas A&M AgriLife.

Attendees for any of the classes in this series are eligible for a native Texas plant giveaway to show our appreciation for their participation and willingness to learn how to conserve water better.

See the list of classes for more information.

Please share this opportunity with family and friends to help us conserve over the summer and into the future.
